when can i be a cherry pickeR?

having grown up in a typical city...I really yearn for a life with fresh air, surrounded by nature, think along the lines of meadows, ranches, farmz, or even beach would be great!!

look wad i have found. I can be a country girl for a few months n still got $$ hehhaha!

Working Holiday Makers
The Working Holiday Program provides opportunities for people between 18 and 30 to holiday in Australia and to supplement their travel funds through incidental employment.

The visa allows a stay of up to 12 months from the date of first entry to Australia, regardless of whether or not you spend the whole time in Australia.

You are allowed to do any kind of work of a temporary or casual nature, but work for more than three months with any one employer is not permitted.

I managed to get off work early today *yippie* I planned to take out my running shoes outta the dusty shoebox today buy ALAS! It began to drizzle as i was heading back home on mrt :( Damnz... I really doubt my ability to run 8km this weekend at TF *shake head*

Following my current craze over this Korean Drama, Jewel In the Palace

I took up my mum's offer to help her cook Mixed Vege Curry!
Apparently, my mum whines that she's so tired and since she helped me with my laundry... I gotta help her with cooking...Fine...

All these while, I only helped me mum watched the fire while the curry is simmering or fry the curry paste while she chit chat on phone. Never have I cooked any curry all by myself, of course I made my mum promised she will coach me and she goes "ah la ah la"...but she bluff me:(

I really din know when to add coconut milk or when to add water and when to add the vege to fry....All the while she was chatting away or nuaing in bed *hmpfz* but nevertheless.... I still managed something out!

welcome back blog entry

the crap abt food blog ha! me juz too nua to update me blog :P I guess i have a very short attention span.

anywayz juz feel like summarising the last week's adventures

MOnday

meet an insurance agent for lunch and dragged ah mich along (thx gal). Filling up my own balance sheet made me realised how ill-disciplined I'm in saving up. sudden wake up call for me! *red alert* time to do some planning for my minimal wealth

went to catch Cinderella Man thanks to ah mich for the complimentary tix coupled with free popcorns n coke (super high sugar intake) thanks gal!


TuesDAy
After bidding goodbyes with my 2 galfriends, i had this sudden urge/desire to try my tiramisu recipe that i gotten from an intern few mths back. THus, i gotten off @ carrefour@PS to buy the mascorpone cheese (freaking ex @ $10 per tub which is 500g oni), sour cream & lady's fingers (not the green vege, the biscuits!)

got home had a quick dinner n started on making. Making tiramisu is actualli pretty fun n easy (cos no need to bake n watch the fire) :D but in creaming the cream part...i realise my cheese mix wasn't firm enuff ( cos i replaced whipped cream with sour cream) thus, i flew dwnstairs to buy. Utter horror of the night.....the shops opp my blk dun sell any cream at all! WTH arGhz. thus, i got to endure stares n walked all the way to NTUC to buy 2 pkts of cream.... *applause* for my effort

went back home n finish with my tira. Lovely but they ain't got any sellable image so no photos... :P *SorrYz*

I rounded up my guinea pigs for a test try of my tiraz
Guinea Pig 1 came all the way frm sengkang to be experimented
GUinea pig 2 got off work early to be in my tira guinea
Guinea pig 3 was meeting her insurance agent discussing abt protection n i surprised her with tira

all 3 guineaz experimented had postive reaction to the tiraz!

kelvin won but kelly got a better singing contract so who won in the end? let's see....

went to V8 cafe for dinner pretty nice place n stuff wasn't too ex nice chick chopz!

had Rockery Mango Smoothie also another recommended drink.

Nothing much but it was a pretty nice nightout with friends frm work :)

went FEP for chicken rice
a pretty amazing nightout i would say...cos hong's clique came popping out to join us outta nowhere... it's like suddenly "eh, who and who" is walking together with us w/o me realising it.

SUN
went flea market @ zouk. got a bag for $4! wad a steal! saw my retro red rotary dial phone selling at a freaking $150! gosh... i ain;t got tt kind of $$ right now :( sadz super sadz....owner even said red rotary dial phones r hard to come by.... *depressed*
